MCC ABROAD
Seville Summer 2019
Studying abroad is an experience I have always wanted to include in my college education. The chance to learn a new language, meet new people, and experience the world in a new way is incredibly valuable, and will benefit me as both a student and in my future career. Therefore, when the opportunity to study abroad though McHenry County College was presented to me I couldn't pass it up. The program I participated in was through ICISP, the Illinois Consortium for International Studies and Programs. I chose to study in Seville, Spain at the International College of Seville.
I chose to study in Seville because I have always had an interest in the Spanish language and culture. Additionally, as a business major it is important to be able to communicate on a global level. By studying in Seville it is my goal to improve my intercultural communication as well as enhance my worldview, which will help me succeed in a business environment. I am thrilled and very excited for the opportunity to experience my education in this way! I hope to share my experiences and reflect on what I learn during my time in Seville through this website. It is also my goal to encourage future students to take the risk and study abroad as well. I am excited to see how this program will shape my education and to be immersed in a culture unique to my own. Therefore, read on to discover my adventures and reflections during my time in Seville! |
